I plan overseas trips and I purchase travel insurance as soon as I book my tickets

I have enjoyed many overseas trips and I am very fortunate to have my Niece to travel with me. We have similar interests, which makes planning our trips so much easier. We try and make a trip each year and sometimes we travel within Australia during the year, as there are many interesting places to visit locally and interstate. We visit relatives interstate from time to time and my Niece now has some of her family living in Europe.

When we plan our trips we use a travel agent to book flights and some accommodation. We always purchase our travel insurance online from MyCover Travel Insurance, as they have been most helpful. It is an easy process, particularly if you are not so familiar with web sites; their site is easy to pick your policy and purchase with a credit card. We like saving where we can and then spending what is left for our holidays on things we enjoy.

Last year my Niece went to Europe and was very thankful that she had her MyCover travel insurance policy, as she became ill quite unexpectedly and needed help with medical assistance which was readily available from their emergency number. The staff at MyCover was very helpful and made sure that medical attention was provided. They called back to make sure my Niece was alright after she had been provided with a visit from a local doctor and medication. Thankfully it was cleared up in a couple of days and she could continue with her trip.

I note all these things for when we plan our next trip and always remind my Niece of all the valuable assistance she has had and that if we have an emergency or loose our luggage when overseas, then we will have our travel insurance to protect us and our valuables.
