Salary Is Still the Answer to Any Writers’ Block
A pair of calculating onyx eyes stared directly on a small illuminated screen, its owner’s hands scribbling on a piece of paper. Clovis can’t help but groan as he let his hand drop the pen he was using and leaned back on his seat. Wiping his forehead with the back of his hand, he glances back on the screen and groans yet again. Why am I having a writers block? Why now? Clovis complained to himself, desperately searching for any motivation or inspiration in his mind. Being a successful article writer for a well known magazine is now taking a toll on him. Everyone expected him to write appealing articles in a short amount of time and having a writer’s block isn’t helping his current predicament. Giving out a defeated sigh, he stood up from his seat and lazily lied down on his bed. “What am I supposed to write about again?” He asked to himself out loud, his voice echoing throughout the silent room. Taking out his phone from under his pillow, he flips it open and searched for text massage from his superiors. “Passport Application Tracking, due on two days. About the process of passport renewal, due on three days. Well isn’t that dandy.” Another sigh left his lips as he slowly sits up and puts down his phone on top of his pillow. Where am I going to get an inspiration for this? Clovis wondered when his phone suddenly rang. Taking his phone on his hands again, he reads the new message and found himself facing the computer again. At least I found a motivation. A threat of reducing one’s salary is enough to ignore my writer’s block. He thought with a scowl on his face. Let the writing begin!
