My Free Costa Rica Honeymoon
My wife and I have been married for the past 5 years and we are blessed with 2 wonderful kids. Since the arrival of our kids we haven’t been able to go for overseas holidays but my mother in law recently offered to take care of our kids for 2 weeks so that we could have sometime to ourselves. This must be the Asian culture as my wife is half Chinese so they have a very strong culture of taking care of the family. So we are grateful to my mum in law for her willingness to help. As we were planning for our holiday, we realised that how expensive things have become, the flight tickets and hotel rates have gone up quite a bit since the last time we were away. Well to be more precise we had a free Costa Rica honeymoon 5 years ago. It was one of those miracles that we would never forget. I actually won a trip for 2 to Costa Rica prior to my wedding. It was a contest that I didn’t even join but my brother used my name and told me that he would let me utilize the trip if I won. It must be my lucky day as it was my first time winning something major like this. Anyway we took the prize and off we went to the beautiful land of Costa Rica. We stayed at San Jose for a couple of days and given tours of the beautiful colonial styled towns around San Jose such as Heredia. After that were flown to Nicoya Peninsula for the rest of our honeymoon. We stayed at the exotic Ylang Ylang resort in Montezuma Costa Rica. We were given the best services and pampering by the hotel’s staff, you named it, we experienced it. From massages to romantic dinners on the beach, it was first class treatment by the hotel courtesy of our sponsor of course. Montezuma Costa Rica is a great place for honeymooners or just a romantic getaway for couples in love. The town is quite during the weekdays where one can watch at a movie at the nearby Sano Banano hotel or savour exquisite European and local cuisines at the many European styled restaurants in town. However the ambience change very quickly over the weekend as the party crowds descend on the town especially from San Jose. The famous Chico’s bar is the place where the parties begin and they usually ends on the beach in the wee hours of the morning.
I think most people would agree with me that Costa Rica is the perfect place for honeymoons or as a romantic getaway.
