The 23rd Annual Camden Conference is entitled “Afghanistan, Pakistan, India: Crossroads of Conflict.” Ahmed Rashid, author of Taliban and Descent into Chaos, will be the keynote speaker. It will surely be a lively and interesting discussion to attend.
On July 17 and 18, the annual arts and crafts show, HarborArts, will take place in the Harbor Park with a wide variety of handicrafts to be on display and put on sale.
Head over to nearby Rockland and come experience the Maine Lobster Festival from August 4 to 8. There will be a parade, displays of Maine arts, maritime vessels, and harbor cruises. And of course, lots and lots of lobster to eat.
The Windjammer Festival will be held over Labor Day weekend on September 3-5. This annual three-day event is surely one where the whole family can enjoy. See the beautiful windjammers as they parade in their full glory, go on tours on the windjammers themselves, and see talent shows among others in this celebration of Camden’s maritime traditions.
