The first generation Citroen C3 was sold from 2002 until 2009 although the basic design did receive a face lift in 2006.  When first introduced, the car came with five engines to choose from and a five speed manual transmission was standard. When the second generation Citroen C3 was introduced in 2009, the first thing that people noticed was the 108 degree windscreen which greatly expands the field of vision. The only version which does not feature this windscreen is the base model VT. The curvy profile of previous years remains although the car is both wider and longer. New small petrol engines were introduced with this generation and offer low CO2 emissions as well as good economy and performance.
